Home Business Manager - Google AdWords - Why You Need to Make Sure You Are Using Negative Keywords in Your Campaigns
In this article I want to show you exactly how to do this the right way. If you want to get a lot of traffic to your site using Google AdWords you are going to have to make sure you use the negative keyword feature in your account or you will end up losing a lot of money.
The Reason You Want To Use This Feature:
You have to realize that when Google runs your ads they will include them in keywords that are not directly related to what you are looking for.
For example: If you are bidding on the keyword "Dog training" you have to realize that they could include your ad for the term "Dog food" because it has the same first word as the main keyword you are using.
" I have a site in the aviation market that teaches people how to buy single engine airplanes and if I don't use the negative keyword program in AdWords my ads show up for keywords like "free airplane for sale. There are all kinds of ways this works and you need to make sure you are aware of it.
The Solution:
You would go into the part of AdWords that lets you block out keywords and you would block out the terms "free" and "food", so in the above examples. You have to block out common words that you think will send you bad traffic.
That way your ads won't show up when people type those search terms in!
But the visitors you do get will be a lot more qualified and you should make a lot more profits in the process of doing this, sure you are going to get less traffic.
